This is the premise of Unfriended: Dark Web, the sequel to the 2014 film of the same name, which explores technological terror in the age of online conspiracies, the deep web, and anonymous identities. The 2018 film has four alternative endings: it was released in theaters with the fun gimmick of a double ending, so audiences didn’t know which ending they would see during the screening. Two more endings were added in the home video version, a special treat for horror fans.
