While the victim of the prank sleeps, clothes and parts of the body are covered with shaving foam. Drawing from military pedagogy, it is possible to recognize in common “formative” experiences an inextricable link between power and humiliation. Episodes of hazing and student pranks punctuate adolescence, mark the division between victims and perpetrators, and define rites of passage. Whether they produce a comic effect or are in poor taste is not important; judgment is suspended. The work explores this ambiguity and documents a desperate attempt at revenge: a man wanders through the streets completely covered in shaving foam.
