Antonio Perticara
is a visual and performance artist. He investigates the distorted narratives of the present and the strategies that enable their proliferation, seeing precariousness as a defining feature of the human condition. Through performances and installations he explores conflict, myth, fiction and misdirection. Drawing on his interests in conspiracism, communicative guerrilla tactics and entertainment, he deconstructs and reassembles dominant discourses in a satirical and grotesque tone, offering tools to imagine a personal and collective counter-history.

He received the Premio Vienna for Performing Arts, a prize presented by the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna in collaboration with the Angewandte Performance Laboratory (APL) of the University of Vienna and Bears in the Park.

He is a PhD researcher in Performing Art and Cultural Heritage – Performance e Multimedia at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro.

He studied Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan (2016-2019) and Performing Arts during the MAP_PA First-Level Master at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome, in collaboration with Azienda Speciale Palaexpo and MATTATOIO (2021-2022).
